AMD launched New FirePro Processors with CPUs and GPUs

Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] has launched a new set of FirePro processors with in-built CPUs [Central processing units] and GPUs [graphics processing units]. The all new FirePro A300 series processors is combined of CPUs and GPUs which is like the AMD's existing series of processors like the A-, C- and E-series which will go to the desktops and the laptops.
At the same time consumer chips will have the Radeon graphics , and the new processors will have FirePro graphic core and it will provide graphics capability which is given by a graphics card that is discrete.
Engineering professionals & medias are targeted by the new set of processors. In a statement AMD said that "FirePro processors is designed to use in multimedia computers that are used to make some very special effects for HD-movies or for the Engg. Apps like the CAD or the CAM".
AMDs FirePro A300 processor comes with 4 Central processing units which operates at a speed of 4GHz and along with that it has 384 graphics cores which operates at a speed of 760MHz, And this draws a power of 65 watts. And the AMDs FirePro A320 processor has 4 Central processing units with 4.2GHz and 384 graphics cores of 800MHz and it takes 100 watts of power.
By using the new set of AMD chips the PC manufactures can build computers that are more energy efficient and smaller in design and not only that it can even deliver best in its class performance. The AMD mentioned that these chip can lower the cost which means that the PC makers do not need to buy separate CPUs and GPUs for the PC.
The another advantage of the chip is that it will provide higher level parallel processing power which help in executing difficult tasks by mixing the power of CPU and GPU. The fastest computers in the world that is used for the scientific and math apps, the faster executions are done by combining the CPUs and GPUs. The Graphics processing units are proved to be faster than the Central processing units for some tasks we know that to offload work to GPUs we need CPUs.
Another feature is that new chip is capable of supporting multiple-display outputs and also horizontal display resolutions of 10,240px X 1,600px. So this make the pictures to spread and shared on the multiple displays. The GPU will take the HD video processing so it help the CPU to work smoothly and by the time CPU can focus on some other task.
In the GPU there are top variants like the Nvidia's Quadro and Tesla but these gadgets have no in-built CPUs. Only the Nvidia's mobile phones processors is combined with ARM processors and GeForce GPU, but the Nvidia has not yet made a professional combination of CPUs and GPUs which is similar to AMD's FirePro products.
AMD has announced that the FirePro W5000 will be available in a price tag $599 and W7000 at $799 and W8000 at $1,599 and finally W9000 for $3,999 these chips are mainly designed for the workstation and not only that these cards can offer performance in different levels and it can also achieve different speeds too.
